For more than a decade Steve has been a private equity investor and sometimes officer in 15 technology startups, including WebMD and N2 Broadband. Currently his portfolio features ViTrue, CPO Commerce, Ovations Management Systems and WordRake, where he served as CEO until the company was sold in early 2011. Steve is also a member of the board of directors of Generation Station.
Prior to this, Steve spent 12 years as an officer of Turner Broadcasting Systems, including a role as Executive Vice President and co-founder of Turner Home Entertainment. This division was responsible for the worldwide distribution of Turner/MGM films along with the licensing of all film characters and pay-per-view television.
Steve was also the Head of the Beatles Anthology for Capitol/EMI . The project became the best-selling recording compilation in music history. After the project ended he became president of a television production company in Los Angeles. Early in his career he served as a field reporter for two ABC affiliated stations in the Southeast.
Steve currently owns the rights to the most famous golf instructional films ever made, “Bobby Jones How I Play Golf.” The 18-segment series is a best seller in the golf category.
